Amity is intended to be a direct competitor/alternative to “tip.cc”, a discord/telegram bot similar to ours.
Amity runs all commands and transactions directly through the blockchain. This means that all transactions through Amity run through the same technology that your regular cryptocurrency transaction would, just through an interface with discord and telegram.
While tip.cc offers more coins, Amity is dedicated to only supporting hand-chosen coins intended to have real utility over discord. This means that adding additional coins to our bot will be a far longer and more “studious” process to ensure quality choices and easy integration.
To conclude, Amity and tip.cc will have different goals but ultimately serve similar purposes, we intend to simply be an alternative choice, not replace it. At the moment, tip.cc is the main all-in-one cryptocurrency bot for discord, having a couple of different choices we feel would be helpful to the growing crypto-ecosystem on discord.
